Safety Platforms has launched The S.T.A Decking System (Pron. STAR) for the house building sector. The S.T.A decking System is the first complete solution to the safe installation of roof trusses.
The S.T.A Decking system allows joiners a safe flat surface to walk on while carrying the S.T.A ladder thus eliminating the need to balance on roof joists with all the inherent risks that that entails.
The S.T.A ladder enables the roof joiner to maintain 3 points of contact at all times while using a nail gun to attach to the highest trusses.
Previously a roof joiner would nail timbers to create an adhoc ladder and then clamber on those to get to the roofline trusses. This was rightly identified as a health and safety breach and is being addressed by all the major housebuilders.
The S.T.A ladder and decking system reduces massively the risks of falls from up to 5m and above while installing roof trusses closing once and for all a known health and safety when roofing new build properties.
