Safety Platforms new “EasyDeck” product has been developed to stop falls from height through the stairway void which has been identified and demonstrated to be a serious health and safety issue.
Stairwell openings are a high risk area within the housebuilding industry. To prevent operatives falling down stairwell openings during the early stages of construction, a variety of methods are used by housebuilders, all of which are costly, time consuming and open to human error with extremely dangerous consequences when something goes wrong.
The Easydeck solution.
Easydeck are lightweight decks which are very easily lifted into position and secured by screws to prevent removal and allow safe access to be maintained by the way of a hatch which allows for ladder access. Easydeck weighs only 18kg and requires no intermediate support and takes 2 minutes to install.
The Easydeck is constructed from aluminium tube and non slip weatherproof phenolic plywood. Panel size 3m x 0.6m x 60mm. Weighing in at only 17.9 Kilos and with a load weight of 250kg per panel.
