The No Nocs scaffold bumpers are designed to minimise the possibility of damage to any surface that scaffold towers can bang into i.e large high value drywall projects on major developments or aluminium cladding to commercial properties. Safety Platforms have addressed and provided a safe solution to a safety issue that has been around for many years within the house building industry.

For many years and across the whole housebuilding sector the installation of roof trusses was usually done by a joiner who would fashion a ladder through nailing timber battens up to the apex of a roof to fix the highest trusses. This method was and is inherently dangerous and leaves the operative with a fall hazard of up to 5m. The STA system gives the roof truss installer 3 points of contact thus drastically reducing the chance of falls and injury.

The STA System safe truss installation system has been nominated for the “Best New Product” in the Health and Safety category of the Housebuilder Product Awards.

The platform is 600mm wide and 800mm long and with heights of 500mm and 600mm available. The wide folding platforms are EN131 rated and have a solid bottom bar to the legs which makes it one of the safest platforms on the market.

Having a bottom stabilizing bar means that it has much greater stability than other folding work platforms (hop up)that just stand on 4 articulating legs. Older designs of platforms are susceptible to legs falling down on uneven surfaces, also when used on scaffolding sites these single leg designs can slip through scaffolding boards causing potential fall hazards.

Please be aware that many Aluminium folding work platforms (hop ups), both budget and higher value platforms are not always EN131 rated

which means they are only suitable for DIY use and are not recommended for site use! The wide folding platforms other major feature is the locking mechanism which gives the user confidence that when legs are locked into place they will stay locked, and not collapse as some cheaper platforms are prone to do.

Edge Protection Posts

Safety Platforms Ltd introduced our edge protection posts to the construction industry over 10 years ago due to a demand for a low cost but robust solution to fall prevention in stairwells. Our 1 and 2 piece posts are rated to BSEN13374 Temporary Edge Protection Systems specifications. Our post are a universal construction and can be rotated to form any configuration of staircase design. Stairwells can be protected with as few as 3 edge post  or as many as you may require.

We have produced a new specification sheet giving all relevant information for any enquiry with an installation guide for site staff. Our 2 piece posts have the advantage of being very easy to drop down, in the event that you may need to open up the stairwell, i.e for plasterboard installation.
